This year On-One are coming on board as sponsors for the first time, which is great because they’re just about as local as you can get. They’ve been around Sheffield for years and have got some great new bikes so it makes perfect sense to have their support.
If you haven’t come across On-One before, they’re a bit different from most bike companies. All their bikes are designed and developed in Sheffield and they’re not afraid to fill in those little niches that the big brands don’t bother with. So they’ve got everything from steel singlespeeds to full on fat bikes, from carbon hardtails to big hitting full suspension trail bikes, with the odd bit of titanium in the mix too. And even a Yorkshireman would approve of their prices.
On-One will have a stand at the race – look out for the garish orange gazebo – with some of their latest bikes on show, and will be offering some great prizes. They have given us a choice of 3 bikes to auction off to raise funds for the woods. They’ve also got a few staff and assorted sponsored riders in the race on their shiny new Codeines – and we understand there may be a cheeky prototype or two if you look carefully…
